SAMPLE PSYCHOTRONIC OBITS (2005)

The Psychotronic Magazine Never To Be Forgotten obituary section started in PV #3 back in 1989. It was 3 pages long and included Jim Backus, John Cassavettes, Salvador Dali, and Sergio Leone. Recent PV issues have had 12 (!) pages of smaller type obits and there is still never enough room to include everybody that deserves being remembered or all the information I'd like to include. Here is an (un-proofed!) selection of people who died in 2005 (or late 04). These and many more will be in PV #42. As I chose these entries I learned of the deaths of Marc Lawrence (PV #29), who had a seven (!) decade long movie career, and Native American guitar genius Link Wray, who Mia and I were lucky enough to see live in NYC. I was a fan of many of these people and I either met, talked to (for PV interviews), and/or saw (on stage) at least 13 of them. Comments and corrections are welcome. Michael J. Weldon
